The adapter mounts onto your macro lens such as the AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED - the adapter fits to the front of the lens and holds the film with its dedicated FH-4 Strip Film holder at the minimum focusing distance of the lens for absolute sharpness and detailed images that produces up to a large 46MP RAW file image.
This adapter is well suitable for the Nikon D850 due to its dedicated Negative Digitizer mode and ability to automatically reverse colours when digitizing C41 35mm colour or black and white film.
