The Story
The SmallRig Camera Cage for Nikon Z5/Z6/Z7/Z6 II/Z7 II is designed to add protection and additional accessory mounting options to your compatible Nikon camera without adding any strain on the camera body. With the cage attached to the camera body, you will still have full access to all camera ports and controls along with the monitor and the battery slot.
Your camera mounts to the SmallRig Camera Cage for Nikon Z5/Z6/Z7/Z6 II/Z7 II with a 1/4"-20 screw, on the bottom of the cage you will find rubber padding to prevent the camera from twisting in the cage and avoid additional damage to the body. In addition to an M2.5 screw on the side, hold your camera securely in the cage and prevent it from twisting.
On the cage, you will find an integrated shoe mount as well as a side NATO rail providing attachment points for articulating arms, external monitors, and other accessories. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 ARRI-style threads can also be found. The bottom of the cage is tapped with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads to connect a camera plate for tripod mounting.
