The Canon EOS R5 is a full frame mirrorless camera thats powered with a large 45MP CMOS Image Sensor and a powerful DIGIC X Image Processor. The camera has been redefined and surpasses on many levels, with a step-change in performance, cutting-edge image stabilisation technology, and next level video & image quality, being the ideal camera for professional photographers and filmmakers, as well as talented and artistic amateurs that have a strong creative drive.
The Canon R5 camera will feature: 8K full sensor readout video capture; high-speed continuous shooting that will offer up to approximately 20 frames per second RAW image capture using the electronic shutter, or up to 12 using the mechanical shutter, and all 8K modes will support Canon's renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF, as well as advanced animal AF that will recognise the eyes and body of dogs, cats, and birds; and advanced in-body image stabilization (IS) system of up to 8-stops and also works with existing IS systems on attached RF lenses; and dual media card slots and it will also support automatic transfer of image files from the device to the image, canon cloud platform.
As mentioned, the Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera definitely takes its video capabilities to the next level with 8K RAW internal video recording of up to 30 fps; and it can record 8K internal video up to 30 fps in 4:2:2 10-bit Canon Log (H.265)/ 4:2:2 10-bit HDR PQ (H.265); and also records 4K internal video up to 120 fps in 4:2:2 10-bit Canon Log (H.265)/ 4:2:2 10-bit HDR PQ (H.265). It's also capable of recording 4K external video of up to 60 fps; and something really exciting is that it doesn't crop in either 8K and 4K video capture while using the full-width of the sensor. Other features to this sophisticated Canon EOS R5 camera include Dual Pixel CMOS AF II that ensures an AF System that covers 100% horizontally and 100% vertically with Face + Tracking and Auto Selection modes; 100% horizontally and 90% vertically with manual selection and large zone modes; a large 3.15 Clear View Touchscreen LCD that features 100% coverage, anti-smudge, and reinforced glass incorporated; and an ISO sensitivity of 100-51200 (in 1/3-stop or 1 stop increments) and it can be expanded to a low of 50 and a high of 102400.
