The Leica SL3 Reporter Edition Mirrorless Full-Frame Camera continues the long tradition of Leica cameras geared for the challenging working environments of reporters and press photographers.

Leica equipped the Leica SL3 Reporter Edition Mirrorless Full-Frame Camera with Kevlar body armour, which is perfectly complemented by a matte green finish, making it particularly scratch and abrasion-resistant. The Kevlar is near black, but exposure to natural UV rays will gradually change its tone till it closely matches the camera's green paint finish.
The Leica Q2 Reporter Digital Camera is designed in such a way that neither the user's purpose nor the camera's true value is immediately apparent. With the red Leica Logo removed from the front with black controls on top of the SL 3 Reporter.

The SL 3 Reporter offers a combination of state-of-the-art technology and masterfully built quality, being more compact and about 70g lighter (without battery) than the predecessor.

Featuring a 60MP CMOS BSI Sensor with triple-resolution technology, where you can choose between raw files in DNG or JPEG format with a resolution of either 18, 36, or 60MP. This is all housed within an all-metal body with elegant leather finishes.

Combining the strengths of three autofocus technologies, the Leica SL 3 Mirrorless Full-Frame Camera are able to create razor-sharp imagery, even in difficult lighting conditions using phase detection (PDAF), depth mapping (Object Detection AF), and contrast recognition (Contrast Detection AF). Further, intelligent subject recognition supports photography in highly dynamic scenes.

The 5.76 million-pixel viewfinder built into the Leica SL3 is an optical system made from glass lenses and always shows your subject with crystal clarity, with up to 120 frames per second. Another notable upgrade on the SL3 is a 2.3 million-dot tiltable 3.2" backlight LED touchscreen.

Videos in the Leica SL3 Reporter Edition Mirrorless Full-Frame Camera are recorded in resolutions of up to 8K, which is supported by codecs like HEVC (H.265) and ProRes (1080p) by Apple. The new Maestro-IV processor is designed to easily handle large amounts of data, resulting in pictures with exceptional colour rendering as well as excellent noise performance.
