This lens is designed to be used on mirrorless camera bodies with the APS-C Sony-E lens mount. When mounted to a full-frame, you will have an 18mm equivalent. The wide-angle perspective allows you to capture the entire scene, which makes it ideal for landscape, street, indoor photography, and even vlogging.
The Sigma 12mm f/1.4 DC Contemporary Lens features three double-sided aspherical elements, which contribute to the compact build and limit distortion while also improving overall image sharpness. Further, there are two special low dispersion (SLD) elements to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations for increased clarity and colour accuracy.
To produce a smooth and pleasing bokeh, this 12mm DC lens features a 9-bladed rounded diaphragm. The lens front elements feature an oil and water repellent coating to prevent finger and water droplets on the element. For working in inclement weather conditions, this lens features a dust- and splash-resistant design.
