The Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens for Sony E is designed as a compact and lightweight lens with high-performance levels as well as an ultrawide zoom range.
A fast f/2.8 constant aperture throughout the entire zoom range enables you to use faster shutter speeds in low-light scenarios and is well suited for close up shots due to the shallow depth of field.
A complex array of aspherical and low dispersion glass elements provide imagery with low levels of chromatic aberrations for improved colour accuracy and clarity. The front glass element features super Multi-Layer and Nano Porous Coatings for improved contrast and colour rendering reducing lens flare and ghosting when used in strong lighting conditions. With the inner zoom and focus mechanisms, the dimensions of the lens stay the same throughout the zoom range for more convenience and comfort for handheld use.
This design feature allows for almost no balance point shift and a fixed front element, making it an ideal instrument for videography, travel, and landscape photography.
