The Sony FE 24-50mm f/2.8 G Lens features 16 lens elements in 13 groups with 4 aspherical elements assisting in reducing spherical aberrations and distortion. While two extra-low dispersion elements effectively suppress chromatic aberrations and colour fringing for greater clarity and colour fidelity.
The linear autofocus motors work together for a fast, quick, and more precise AF which benefits both video and still applications. When working with faster-moving subjects support is available for shooting up to 120 fps with the Sony a9 III. Even when shooting stopped down, full AF is maintained, and focus tracking is also possible when shooting slow motion 4K 1220p and Full HG 240p.
